The venue for the ISWPC 2008 Meeting is the Petros M. Nomikos Conference centre located in the capital of Santorini, Thera, overlooking the caldera and the volcano. Situated just 8 km from Santorini (Thera) National Airport, the Petros M. Nomikos Conference Centre is very conveniently located. This neoclassical Mansion, with its characteristic red colour, has been renovated into a functional Conference Centre while at the same time keeping its traditional character. It contains a main conference hall with a capacity of 220 people, with exquisite acoustics and air conditioning, halls for councils, areas for teamwork, registrations, secretarial and technical support, areas for coffee-breaks, and is equipped with all the modern audiovisual technical means. Blocks of rooms have been booked for delegates at major hotels in Thera town, most of them overlooking the sea, conveniently located near the Petros M. Nomikos Conference Centre. |
